PART 1
PARTS 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6
Political comedy shows are hard to do, THE DAILY SHOW WITH JOHN STEWART isn't funny, im sorry, ive tried liking it, but it just isn't funny, in fact it's a pile of shit, the only reason people say its funny is because they probably read so in The Guardian. Everytime I've watched it all I get is John Stewart starring at the camera pulling funny faces while not saying anything, I guess the main problem is that you cant make a 30 minute show every day about politics and actually make it funny and informative, maybe Americans like it because everthing else they make is for idiots. HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU on the other hand is brilliant, it's basically a weekly TV round-up of PRIVATE EYE that has been going on for the past 18 years without ever being crap, the other week BRIAN BLESSED hosted the show and it was one of the best episodes in a long time and some nice person has uploaded it onto YouTube.

here, here
are you just copying stuff you've seen in vice now jiro?
i love you jiro. i miss your bile. it's so hot.
Really, what did Vice write, what I wrote was pretty obvious wasnt it, I just put it up because I found the Brian Blessed episode.
And because I seem to be in the minority of people who thinks The Daily Show is shit.
The Daily Show is guff. John Stewart is a smug git and that English guy that have on it is awful. Have Got News for you is well better but a shitty guests can sometimes ruin it, i.e. Danny Baker or Clarkson. I havn't seen this Brian Bleesed one, good stuff.
i like john stewart and i like the daily show
But Pete, you think Never Mind The Buzzcocks is funny, and you're American.
This was an amazing episode, the week after paul merton started with the line (referancing the Josef
Fritzl guy keeping his daughter and secret family in his dungeon)
"did you hear Brian Blessed's wife was found on her own in a cellar dungeon in her own house?..
...funny thing was, she built it herself"
Gold
Oh please. Its just a cultural difference. Daily Show can be quite good. I mean the first few minutes of this show is Brian making strange faces and a hamster doing flips. Brilliant.
As a Canadian (not your standard ignorant Yank) who does occasionally peruse UK papers I missed out on so many of the references that it just wasn't funny to me.
But I'm not such a wanker as to suggest that it isnt funny. I just dont know, but I'll take your word for it.
