The Laughing Heart

your life is your life
don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is a light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you chances.
know them.
take them.
you can’t beat death but
you can beat death in life, sometimes.
and the more often you learn to do it,
the more light there will be.
your life is your life.
know it while you have it.
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight
in you.

ERRRDAY

Blink and you'll miss the Jon Glasser cameo in this fun spot for an app that time-lapses your face.

No, no, no, no, no, no no, no no no

I love how people on YouTube disclose what brought them to a particular song. Usually the referral is the soundtrack to a movie or TV show. In this case it was the new Nike Free spot. Love the beginning to this song.

POODLE LOOP

My buddies Scott and Hollie went out to Shanghai and made this cute spot.

MAN FLU

Sorry to go on about it, but this frickin' Man Flu's got me feeling all...

Luckily, Sainsbury's came to my rescue by stocking this...

On the upside, staying at home yesterday did give me the chance to catch up on daytime TV ads. Pick of the bunch was this gem from Funky Pigeon, the personalised cards company...

NY-Z

A new 15-minute documentary about Jigga, sponsored by Absolut with hardly any overt branding. This follows on from Spike Jonze's "I'm Here".

Can't wait for the World Cup

My only problem with this Puma spot: why don't the use some African music instead of that fat guy from Dangermouse?

Cog

Just wrap it

Guys, it's simple: just wear a condom and you'll be inundated with willing vaginas, according to this anti-AIDS spot from France.

Things I love about this ad for Thomas Cook holidays

1) The blur effect on the frame's edge that makes everything look ever so dreamy.
2) Jamie Redknapp pinging golf balls on the beach with his shirt off.
3) Jamie Redknapp playing keepy-uppy on the beach dressed in a suit sans shoes (obvs he didn't want to get sand in them).

LOVE DISTANCE

A man from Fukuoka and a woman from Tokyo prove their love by running to meet each other.
