Lead singer of the Cramps, Lux Interior died of a heart attack yesterday. He was 62. In his memory we're re-posting links to the legendary Lux & Ivy's Favorites compilations:

I uploaded the FIRST 6 installments of these great compilations a while ago and they seemed very popular and ever since I have been trying to get hold of the latest volumes (I think there might be 11 in total so far), but because I don't use Soulseex much these days and when ever I do no one seemed to have them it's taken me this long to get them. It's pretty much the same sort of stuff as the previous 6 volumes which means it's amazing.

LUX & IVY'S FAVORITES VOL.1-6

A couple years ago a friend of mine introduced me to the Lux & Ivy's Favorites compilations, they're 6 compilations of The Cramps' Lux & Ivy's favourite songs (who would have guessed) but the problem is these compilation have never actually been released or are available to buy. The compilations were made by a Cramps FAN who compiled songs from 'Songs The Cramps Taught Us' compilations, the 'Forbidden City Dog Food' compilations that The Cramps used to play before their gigs and other songs that Lux or Ivy have mentioned before in interviews. The compilations are awesome and a real mix of stuff from Link Wray and Jack Nitzsche to more obsure stuff like Forbidden Five's Enchanted Farm which is just aload of animal noises over the top of an organ and a Theremin and a Mad Magazine song about Nose Jobs. The only way of getting these compilations up until now is off SOULSEEX so I thought I'd put them up here for you to download too, while you download them watch this brilliant live performance from The Cramps from the film URGH! THE CRIMSON GHOST

Have you ever wondered where The Misfits got the image for their logo, well it was a 40's TV series called THE CRIMSON GHOST. Someone has uploaded the whole series on Stage6 aswell as some great Punk Documentaries and live stuff from bands like The Exploited, The Cramps and GG Allin, HAVE A LOOK.
