KISS-ATTACK OF THE PHANTOMS

I've never been much of a KISS fan, I've tried but every time I listen to them I'm always disappointed, but their film is brilliant, ATTACK OF THE PHANTOM is the UK version of the US TV film, KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park. I haven't seen the US version, but supposedly the UK version is longer and better, they are basically the same film but just edited differently and using slightly different music, I think. KISS might suck as a band but this film is amazing, maybe if I saw this when I was a kid i would love them.

THE DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION PT.2 - THE METAL YEARS





This is SERIOUS, part 1 may be great, but this is incredible. Far less serious than it's predecessor, The Metal Years sort of carries off where part 1 finished and documents the L.A. Metal scene from 1987 to 1988. Personally the bands involved are nowhere near as good as in part 1, but that's not the point, this is one of the funniest and also slightly depressing documentaries ever made. From the very first scene, where Gene Simmons talks from a ladies lingerie shop to it then cutting to a scene of fans wearing Suicidal Tendencies caps mooning with Motorhead blasting out you know what your in for. Literally, every scene in this film is amazing, whether it's C. C. DeVille's attempt at maths, Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P.) cry for help, Ozzy trying to make breakfast, London trying to burn the Russian flag, Odin or Bill Gazzarri's sexy rock and roll dance contest, this documentary is unbelievable. Seriously, I urge everyone to watch this NOW!!!!!!!!
