THE SECRET MUSEUM OF MANKIND

This book is incredible, published in 1935 The Secret Museum of Mankind has no author or credits, no copyright, no date, no page numbers or index. It is just a collection of photos of tribes and cultures from all over the world together with very racist text over 5 volumes (each one a different continent). HERE you can view all 564 pages scanned in and transcribed.

I have the sense who ever put this together to publish wanted a record of mankind. The question is how did this person aquire all this pictorial history? What an amazing collection. I can't imagine not publishing. Is there a way to back track records of the publishing company to establish the back story of its creation? Maybe it was a life's work that would be lost if not put together as a book. It is a historical marker on two levels. One of what was captured. Two of how it was presented reflecting a time in our evolution of acceptable.
