AKIRA SOUNDTRACK

The song Winds Over Neo-Tokyo from the Akira soundtrack randomly came up on my iPod the other day and I forgot just how brilliant the whole soundtrack is and how much it reminds me of being a 10 year old kid and watching Akira for the first time and being completely mesmerized by it but at the same time not having a fucking clue what was going on (you need to read the comic to actually understand the story). So anyway, here's the soundtrack.

you are a legend
i've trying to get this for so long, just love the first tune from the film that they put on the jukebox
if you havn't seen the remaster edition of the film then check it as the sub titles are better translated than the original

I thought i was the only one who had akira tunes on the ipod! I had exactly the same experience as a kid being amazed by this but not really gettin the full story especially towards the end but just loving the way it all looked, good to hear someone else felt my pain, it was pretty much my introduction to manga. Old school manga was the best when only a handfull was available on vhs from select video shops. Akira and fist of the north star, i wore those tapes out at my nans house.
Never had the full album, thanks for posting.

thanks for that! i watched this with my brothers ghetto best friend when i was a kid as he was obsessed with manga. i persuading him to do an animation degree, which he subsequently dropped out of to deal drugs, but hey, Akira holds a lot of memories for me
