MISHA HOLLENBACH MIX TAPE
Another brilliant mix tape from one of the greatest men on earth, PERKS AND MINI'S Misha Hollenbach AKA Perks AKA Roland Korg AKA Boy George Michael AKA Porkilucci for BEATS IN SPACE. Better know for his artwork for PAM but as I've mentioned BEFORE, he's pretty good at mix tapes too.

Don looks like a Patrick Swayze wax work gone slightly wrong, among the many tv appearances he's made over the years he once played a mentally handicapped man suspected of murder in an episode of Matlock.
THIS IS JANICE WATSON
Our friend Queenie discovered these old photo albums on a market stall in East London. Each one is meticulously laid out with photographs spanning the lifetime of a woman with Down's Syndrome. Her father, a keen amateur photographer, methodically shot hundreds of portraits of his daughter and wife. Evidently the family's favourite pastime was to get dressed up and pose for the camera in the garden or by the seaside. You see images of girl (who I'm guessing was born in the 60s) become a grown woman. Then you watch her condition gradually deteriorate until it cuts off sometime in the 90s. This photo-biography might sound a tad melancholy, but it's actually the opposite, in no small part thanks to her awesome wardrobe.
The only thing I know about her is that her name was Janice Wilson. I know this because a Riding For The Disabled certificate that she won in 1984 is tucked inside one of the albums. There are no other clues as to her identity. I tried calling the riding school, but their records do not go that far back.

Did you just see that, that was one of the greatest moments in sport ever, Usain Bolt only ran for about 90m, he punched his chest before he even finished and still smashed the record, this man's a freak.
STEVE McCLAREN SPEAKING STRANGELY
I had to nick this video from VIDEO THUNDER, it's too good. If you don't know, this man is STEVE McCLAREN, he is an English football manager who no one in England likes because he was manager of England when we failed to qualify for Euro 08, because no one in England likes him he moved to Holland to take charge of Dutch team FC Twente. Here he is being interviewed by Dutch TV before a game against English club Arsenal, and for some weird reason instead of actually speaking in Dutch (which I dont think he can) he's decided to speak in English, but with a Dutch accent!?!? It's abit like when I did my French GCSE oral exam, and my French teachers advice was, "If you dont know the French word, just say it in English, but try and sound French", I got an F.
COSMOS - SPIRAL DREAMS
WOW! This is the coolest band I've ever seen, they're like a combined woman version of YMO and Logic System but all I can figure out about them is that they are Japanese and called Cosmos. Also, why has this comment left for the video been given 2 negative responses, it's exactly what I was thinking while watching it.
88 BOADRUM
Following on from last years 77 BOARDRUM, the Boredoms went one better and did 2 shows on 8:08PM 08/08/08, one in New York again and the other in LA called 88 Boardrum. Im sure this video doesn't justify how awesome I can imagine it really was, when are they gonna do one in London, sort it out Hisham.

Anyone else notice at the end of ROAD HOUSE when Patrick Swayze is skinny dipping with Kelly Lynch that in the background the old bearded man is having a picnic watching them.
AKIRA SOUNDTRACK
The song Winds Over Neo-Tokyo from the Akira soundtrack randomly came up on my iPod the other day and I forgot just how brilliant the whole soundtrack is and how much it reminds me of being a 10 year old kid and watching Akira for the first time and being completely mesmerized by it but at the same time not having a fucking clue what was going on (you need to read the comic to actually understand the story). So anyway, here's the soundtrack.
