Here are 4 brilliant short documentaries by British filmmaker John Samson, Dressing For Pleasure (1977), a documentary about fetishism in Britain featuring VIVIENNE WESTWOOD and MALCOLM MCLAREN'SSEX shop on the King's Road. Arrows (1979) follows Englands darts superstar ERIC BRISTOW and the world of Darts during the late 70's. Tattoo (1975), a documentary about the tattooing, the artist and their clients, and Britannia (1979), a documentary on the subject of the Railway Preservation Society, and its member's work in Bridgend in Wales.
Whenever I bring up TOM CRUISE in a conversation everyone always laughs and goes on about how much of a dick he is, I honestly think me, Pete and my brother are the only people who genuinely love this man. I dont mean in an ironic or funny way, I actually love Tom Cuise, he's fucking awesome, I think people are actually to afraid to admit how incredible he is and just use the fact he's a Scientologist as some kind of excuse. Taps, The Outsiders, Risky Business, Legend, Top Gun, The Color of Money, Cocktail and Rain Man are all brilliant films and Tom Cruise is awesome in all of them. As well as his films, he's got the BEST LAUGH EVER, and he's always happy, maybe it's just English people that hate him because he's so happy, leave the man alone, he's great. Oh yeah, the video above is the 25th anniversary of Tom Cruise's first lead role (Risky Business), it's incredibly cheesey, but I fucking love it, I watch it whenever I needed to be pumped up!
Did anyone watch any of the Republican Convention? Those guys are lizards living in a different dimension to the rest of the world. They actually believe they won the war in Iraq and that, even though 9/11 happened "on their watch", they are the best people to lead the war on terror (witness the insanity of Senator Lindsay Graham's speech below). It has stopped making me angry ; now I can only laugh at their desperate, disingenuous, erroneous world view. Can McCain be a worse orator? Every time he opens his wrinkly little mouth Obama gains another vote.
