"Holy shit is this revelatory. Wonderfully demonstrates how the Rolling Stones sound is more than just the sum of its parts, with the component tracks of one of their key songs, “Gimme Shelter” "
IT'S JUST A SHOT AWAY
A really brilliant post by my favourite blog Dangerous Minds. Here's an excerpt, but you must read the whole thing in full here.
Keith Jarrett
When I started Uni I went through a phase where all I listened to was jazz. One of my favourite artists was the pianist Keith Jarrett. I remember many long nights spent writing essays listening to this album. As well as being an incredible musician, I love Jarrett because of the idiosyncratic noises he makes as he plays; grunting, squealing, and tuneless singing. Jarrett is also really physically active while playing; writhing, gyrating, and almost dancing on the piano bench. I love that he's so into it. Rad dude.
ROBOCOP KID
These photos first did the rounds a couple of weeks ago. They're of a kid whose father made him a Robocop outfit and then photographed him during their day out in the city.
